Reclamation
At Reactor Services, we understand the importance of reclamation and restoring the land to its natural habitat. With trained and experienced operators and management Reactor Services is there to get the job done effectively and efficiently.
Construction
When it comes to construction, Reactor Services has the machines for the job. Whether it's building a high grade road or a block road for hauling logs, Reactor Services takes care of it. Need a lease built? That is something we do as well.
Logging
Bunching
Bunching is a quick and efficient way to cut down timber and place them in clean, even drags for the skidders. Bunchers are utilized in a variety of ground types and slopes.
Skidding
Reactor Services LTD has 4-wheel and 6-wheel drive skidders that allow for a wider variety of use. Different ground types or slopes can call for different machines that work better in that application.
Decking/Chucking
Often times there are slopes that make it challenging for the skidders to build nice even decks for the processors. This is where the log loader can be utilized. It allows to more efficiently and effectively get the wood off the slopes but also allows for better decking and less tangles.
Processing
Processing occurs just before the logs are loaded and sent to the mill. Processing is a very important part of the logging process as they remove the branches, cut each tree to the desired length and keep rot or broken trees out of the wood to be sent off. This allows the mills to receive all the usable wood that has been cut down.
Site Prep
Mounding Services
If your soils are cold or have a lot of competition, mounding may just be the right choice for your site prep requirements
EX Plow
Depending on your ground type & soil conditions, Excavator plowing maybe be the right choice for your next project.
Rough and Loose
Rough and loose is another technique done with an excavator to loosen up the compacted soil. This leaves a series of mounds and holes of loosened soil, allowing for better growth.
Scarifying/Plowing
For a more cost efficient but yet very effective form of site prep, Crawler plowing might be the right choice for your site prep needs.
Disc Trenching
Another way of trenching with a 4-wheel drive skidder and attached to the rear of the machine. The discer creates a plantable spot by exposing the mineral soil.
Mini Mounding
Mini mounding is used with a 4-wheel drive or 6-wheel drive skidder. The mounder is attached to the rear and creates a smaller mound with desired spacing. This type of prep is only capable in the summer and fall months.
